ABOUT CARL

Hey, Friend!

ย it’s been a full month so far for August and I’ve got some wins I’d love to share for celebration with you.

๐ŸŽ‰ Business Woman Sioux Falls launched their new website

๐ŸŽ‰ Melissa Eich just launched her new website AND brand this week

๐ŸŽ‰ I don’t have a retinal tear (thank God)

๐ŸŽ‰ I’ll be launching a new site design next week for a recruitment business

๐ŸŽ‰ Next week I get to build onto Selah Space’s website

๐ŸŽ‰ Another site design will be boomin/ at the end of this month.

Websites are 100% having their moment in August and I’m 100% here for it.

While we can absolutely knock out a custom website for your brand, let’s take a moment to recognize that sometimes, templates are the best way to go. They’re budget friendly, customizable to your brand, and save you even more time.

Launching a new brand’s website (mine included) can be an absolute pain. They’re complex and have a lot of moving parts. It’s more than just logo design, brand colors, images, and fonts. It’s about figuring out the layout, what copy is needed, and more importantly, how to organize all the brand elements so it makes sense and doesn’t overwhelm the viewer.

It’s a lot.

The beauty of a template is that it takes the bulk of the legwork out for both the designer and the client. The design is already done – it just needs to be reformatted and customized to fit you so it doesn’t feel like a template. It feels like you, sounds like you, looks and reads like you.

By having me come in and help – I get to turn that DIY phase into a DFY (done for you) phase. You get my expert guidance and your website gets done in no time. You don’t have to lose any sleep on what to write, what picture to put where – I do it for you and you get to say โ€˜yesโ€™ or โ€˜noโ€™.

For Melissa’s website we used the Margarita. It’s bold, colorful and has a touch of editorial which works perfect for the clean, relaxed and approachable vibes for Melissa’s brand. We wanted to keep it casual, keep it clean, keep it to the point and leave plenty of room for the colors to shine.

If you’re in dire need of a site ASAP, I’ve got good news for you: you can get any website at Tonic for 15% off using the code HeyCarl!. And if you decide you don’t wanna fuss with the DIY phase but you still need your site up yesterday, book a day or two with me and I’ll get it up for you ASAP.

  1. Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though
you relied on the video to make your point. You definitely know what youre talking about, why throw away
your intelligence on just posting videos to your weblog when you could be giving us something
    enlightening to read?

I love your blog.. very nice colors & theme.
Did you make this website yourself or did you hire someone to do it for you?
Plz reply as I’m looking to create my own blog and would like to find out
where u got this from. many thanks

Hey, I'm Carly.

I started Hey, Carl! so I could homeschool my kiddos. Even though they're doing "regular" school, Hey, Carl! has the same vibe: play, have fun, and do my best to build it around our life.
