Hey, Carl! is named after my grandpa, a man I never met but somehow embodied his spirit. Growing up as Carlene (but really: Carly, Carl, Carlos, Carls, Charlie...you get it.), I learned early that names carry personality. This one carries his. I built this studio at the kitchen table, between homeschool lessons and Oreo breaks, with a paintbrush, a camera, and a dream that turned out to be bigger than the table.
