I got to team up with Nathan for another venture him and his amazing wife Dia are building called Haven Arts Collective. When we first connected on this project, they wanted to name their business Lighthouse Arts Collective. After some creative direction and strategy, I threw them for a loop and posed/nurtured the question: What about haven? Haven kept coming up as a theme as we were talking about how to portray their brand and what they wanted this space to be.
We made the pivot and moved towards Haven Arts Collective. A safe haven for students, somewhere where the light is always on for creative expression, a place to build lasting relationships and a place to celebrate talents through ministry.
One verse that stood out the most for them is: “I pray that the light of God will illuminate the eyes of your imagination, flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of his calling” Ephesians 1:18.
When designing this logo, it was important to portray a softness, a light for illumination and some spatial awareness. An openness.Project scope: brand strategy, creative direction, logo design (4 variations and all final files), brand colors, brand graphics, photo sourcing, single page web design (I helped them get started with the home page, the did the rest).
